Evolved Q Course & Testing

About the Evolved Q Course:

The Evolved Q Course is a six-day intensive course in which learners will learn and be evaluated on cupping and coffee assessment skills. Upon passing this course, learners will be certified Evolved Q Graders with SCA and will be better equipped to assess and evaluate coffee in a professional setting. This course is a deep dive into coffee quality and value assessment. The course utilizes the new CVA forms and also references and explains the practical differences between the cupping form and the CVA forms.

“The course includes 9 comprehensive exams (8 practical evaluations and 1 written assessment). During the course, learners are allowed two attempts to pass each exam. All practical and written assessments must be passed to complete the course and earn the first three-year license. Every three years, Q Graders are eligible to renew their license but will not need to take the full six-day course again to do so.” (SCA Education)
