Our Hoover location is the one that started it all! We started sharing our love for coffee with the world through pop-up shops and online sales in 2016. Just 3 years later, on March 30th of 2019, our first permanent location officially welcomed coffee enthusiasts and we haven’t looked back since. The café is conveniently situated in Hoover just outside the Chase Lake neighborhood right between 5 Guys Burgers and Ashley Mac’s Kitchen. This location is easy to get to from i459 and i65 with lots of other fun things to do nearby. The Galleria Mall is a very short drive away and there are many other restaurants and shopping options in the surrounding areas. Chase Lake Park is a very short walk from the cafe and a great place to enjoy your coffee in a natural setting.
When Baba Java opened, this location doubled as our main roastery. You can still see the beautiful state-of-the-art Probat roaster near the checkout area. While most of our whole-bean coffee production is done at our roastery a few miles away, we still roast at our original location a couple of days a week. That means it’s possible you’ll get to experience the glorious smell of coffee roasting when you visit the Hoover café. If you are a coffee lover who hasn’t seen the beans fall from the roaster into the cooling tray it’s worth experiencing at least once. While seeing and smelling the process is awesome, the taste at the end is what matters most. Our roasters & baristas are meticulous and ensure the optimal flavor profile in every sip!
Our inviting space reflects our international connections and fosters a relaxed atmosphere that encourages meaningful conversations. We have plenty of table seating where you can work away from the office or meet with friends. There are bar seats where you can watch our expert baristas make signature drinks and outdoor seating if you prefer coffee in the sun. You can also enjoy a latte or Turkish Coffee while experiencing an area of the cafe inspired by Bedouin-style floor seating! It’s called “majilis” in Oman and “farashat” in Jordan, but it’s OK if you just call it comfortable! Visit us and try it out for yourself.
