Our Story
While our Café officially opened its doors on March 30th of 2019, the Baba Java idea goes all the way back to 2016. One of our Co-founders, Joshua Parvin and Hunter (Director of Client Services- KSA) visited our very own VP of Operations, Brad Haynes in Oman for a summer internship. Brad was working in coffee in the region doing cafè consulting, roasted coffee distribution, and general education of specialty coffee.
While there, Joshua and Hunter got a taste for specialty coffee and never looked back. They brought back big dreams and passion for coffee because of its impact it can have on communities all throughout the supply chain. It can be used and utilized to help others and foster community. Nathan and Wendi caught the vision shortly after their persistent son Joshua explained all the possibilities.
From there on, the research for viability began. We started roasting in our basement and eventually grew to what we are today. We aren’t done yet, we still have many plans to grow because we believe that coffee impacts culture.
